Welcome to hathayoga.org, a website created by yogis in an effort not only to spread and inform practitioners about hatha yoga, but to also help connect people to quality teachers. We currently live in an age where just about anyone can become a yoga teacher with minimal effort. As such, these teachers of yoga are anything but. We feel that it is time to return to a solid foundation and separate the wheat from the chaff.
Too many students are being physically, mentally, and emotionally hurt by terrible yoga teachers. This isn’t just hatha yoga teachers, but almost all schools of yoga have reduced the requirements to become a teacher to the point that people graduating from these schools have no business whatsoever teaching. As such, one of the goals of this website is to list REAL yoga teachers. Keep checking back, we think we’ll like what you see.
